Shanghai Electric has recently published its 2019 CSR report upon the approval of the directors. By far the group has released its CRS report for 11th consecutive years and ESC (environmental, social, and governance) report for five years in a row.
By summarizing the group's achievements in corporate reform, employee rights and benefits, environmental protection, public welfare, and anti-corruption over the past year, the report has revealed an open, transparent, responsible, and pioneering entity. In the early preparation, the group exchanged views with stakeholders over 31 ESG issues through face-to-face communication, telephone interviews, and field visits, and 12 highly relevant issues were identified and disclosed in the report to meet the demand of investors.
The report also incorporates the group's efforts to improve response to questionnaires from the capital market, including adding MSCI concerned topics in ESC report and giving feedback to confirm the information in MSCI annual review. In this way, MSCI can enjoy easier access to information required for rating.
