Shanghai Electric SHMP Pulverizing & Special Equipment Co., Ltd.  is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shanghai Electric Group, which belongs to Shanghai Electric Power Station Group.

The new Company was established in October 2015 and inherits the outstanding resource of metallurgy, pulverizing, forging, special equipment, mining machinery from Shanghai heavy machinery plant (SHMP) as requirement to deepen reform of state-owned assets and management structure adjustment. SEHPS will devote to provide professional and refined production and provide comprehensive service for customers. SEHPS will build a new platform for metallurgy, pulverizing, forging, special equipment and mining machinery manufacturing.

The Company located next to Huangpu River, Minhang district, southwest Shanghai covers an area of 0.3 km², the gross leasable area is 115000 square meter, with 386 employees, including 111 technical staff (1 person enjoys the benefit of the State Council, 7 persons are professor level senior engineers, 28 persons are senior engineers, 63 are engineers). The main products are pulverizers of HP、LC-HP、GS-HP、SM、MW、BBD、MGS、MG series, special equipments of military products of radar, warships, aerospace, wind tunnel, and general mechanical products of metallurgical complete equipment, forging & pressing equipment, cement and mining complete equipment.   

Based on the introduced technology, coal mills have been studied and undergone a second technical innovation according to Chinese situation, resulting in a series of new coal mills, whose technology and performance reached leading level of the world. Nowadays, the mill's domestic market share is above 50%, and SEHPS coal mills are exported to several foreign countries, such as India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brazil, Turkey, and Pakistan etc. The operational reliability index for medium-speed coal mill issued by State Power Board indicates that coal mill produced by our company ranked first for its reliability in China for 11 years. The coal mill produced by SEHPS is also recommended by national power company for auxiliary equipments of 300MW, 600MW, 1000MW and above thermal power unit. In addition, the coal mills are awarded the titles of National key New Products, Shanghai Famous Products and Shanghai Technical and Scientific Progress Prize.

For special equipment, we have joined the research and manufacturing of several radar antenna projects, warship equipment, aerospace process equipment, and wind tunnel series equipment. The quality of  SEHPS special equipment products receive high recognition from customers,  and SEHPS has been ranked as excellent supplier for servral times. 

For general mechanical products including metallurgy, forging & press, cement and mining, the company has supplied hundreds of sets of hot rolling line, cold rolling line, middle & heavy plate mill, heavy plate mill, processing line and smelting equipment to many famous steel companies, such as Baosteel, Anshan steel, Wuhan steel, Hebei steel, Baotou steel, Maanshan steel and Panzhihua steel. SEHPS have manufactured heavy forging and press equipment including heavy mechanical press, electrode extruder, aluminum extruder, and free die forging press for automobile, shipbuilding, aviation, cable and carbon industiries. SEHPS also produced heavy crushing equipment, cement equipment, heavy mining equipment and tunnel traffic mechanical equipment for cement manufactures and other industries.

SEHPS owns many machining equipment including CNC boring machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes and heavy horizontal boring machines. In additon, with SEHPS's leading domestic capacities of machining, casting and forging and heat treatment, more than 500 mills can be built in one year.  Meanwhile, SEHPS machining machines can meet the strict manufacturing requirements of special equipment and the company has the ability to manufacture heavy roll housing, bearing chock and rotary kiln etc.
